I began my career as a fine artist at a year and a half old, spending countless hours at the kitchen table with a tin of crayons and all the encouragement from my entrepreneurial mother and father. I was drawing everything around me at an accelerated level from an early age and was hungry to be the best. Grooming my creativity throughout my schooling, winning numerous scholarships and participating in my high school's first AP Studio Art course, I decided to pursue art at Georgia Southern University. Here, I was mentored by alumnae professors from the top schools in the nation (Rhode Island School of Design, Savannah College of Art & Design, Boston University, Cornell and the Art Institutes, just to name a few.) I was a sponge over my five years as a student, soaking in all of the critiques, countless pushes to go further, and priceless insight. It was at university I gravitated towards the freedom of mixed media, creating works on shower curtains, canvas, and my own handmade paper. I even studied illustration and Italian art history for a summer abroad in Montepulciano, Italy right in the heart of Tuscany. In 2013, I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting, Drawing, and Printmaking making my exit as a participant in our Senior Exhibition show.
