After a remarkable career, beloved Atlanta artist Dixie Purvis is taking her final bow, and we’re so honored to present her last collection at Anne Irwin Fine Art. Over the years, Dixie’s work has filled collectors’ homes throughout the South and beyond, and her fearless energy has been a part of our walls for so long. This collection is a fitting farewell from an artist who has given so much to our community. Her large-scale abstracts are built in layers: drawn, scraped, scratched, and painted again. Bold color and expressive marks press in from the edges and rise up from the center. Raw, energetic, and full of surprise, each piece invites you to find your own meaning within it.
